Floating is an Enchanted Soul in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. It allows to walk on water surfaces.

Availability

Found in the Inner Quarters. Obtained by breaking a soul-keeper located in a small room at the top of the main tower, shortly after defeating the Headhunter.

Characteristics

When this soul is equipped, the player will be able to prevent immersion and become able to walk on water surfaces.

Usage

This soul is mandatory in order to reach certain platforms within the castle, one of them located above a small fountain in the room below the large tower where the soul was obtained, allowing with this further exploration of the level.

Another of its main uses consists in allowing the player to reach a platform located above one of the Castle Corridor's underground sewage channels, and with this gain access to the Floating Garden.

Yet, another use this soul has is by combining it with any Rush Form soul at the big cascade found in the Underground Reservoir, and thus be able to successfully cross to the other side of the stream, gaining with this access to the Forbidden Area.
