Not to be confused with Shop.

Shop Mode, also known as Market Mode, allows a player to buy or sell items found in the game to other players. Players can open their shops to sell items and equipment they have found, or purchase them from other players' shops. This mode was first introduced into the series in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and reappeared later in Order of Ecclesia. The trading mechanics work in a similar way to how Soul Trade was implemented in both Aria and Dawn of Sorrow, by taking advantage of the portability of the system and availability to use a wireless connection.
