Counterstrike is an attack in Lords of Shadow games that is performed immediately following a Synchronized Block while the enemy is off balance. A Direct Counterstrike only attacks the enemy that was blocked, while an Area Counterstrike also can affect other enemies around you. A series of counterstrikes of the same kind can be performed.
